I strongly don't like this idea because I don't think it's fair at all for Mrs. Bennett to try to get Mr. Bennett to insist for their daughter, Elizabeth, to marry Mr. Collins when Elizabeth doesn't want to. Mrs. Bennett isn't the one who'd have to live with Mr. Collins, Elizabeth would, so Elizabeth should be able to decide herself if she wants to marry him or not, not her mother. Elizabeth wouldn't be happy being forced to marry Mr. Collins, and Mrs. Bennett should care more about her daughter's feelings than her own wishes.
